In March, B.C. welcomed almost 692 thousand non-resident travellers (seasonally adjusted), of which three quarters were from the United States. Non-resident traveller entries to Canada through British Columbia went up by 1.6% compared to the previous month.

The number of Canadians returning home via B.C. from the U.S. and overseas fell slightly (-0.1%) in March compared to February.

Nationally, Canadians made 3.8 million trips to the United States in March, an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous month. Canadian travel to international destinations outside the United States also grew (+0.3%) in the month.

Travel to Canada was up 1.7% in March, solely due to an increase in the number of visitors from the United States (+2.7%), as visitors from the rest of the world (-1.9%) posted a decline in the month.
