Sales by retailers in the province edged 0.4% higher (seasonally adjusted) in October, on the strength of higher sales at motor vehicle and parts dealers.
Canadian sales also inched up (+0.3%), following two lacklustre months. Sales increased in five provinces in October, including Quebec (+0.8%) and Ontario (+1.1%). Elsewhere, retailers recorded losses ranging from -0.7% in P.E.I. to -1.8% in Alberta.
