Issue 16-26: Wholesale Sales

Wholesale activity in British Columbia expanded 1.0% to $5.4 billion (seasonally adjusted) in December. Nationally, wholesale sales rose 2.0% to $57.2 billion with increases in other provinces ranging from 1.4% in Alberta and P.E.I. to 6.0% in Nova Scotia.
2015 in Review
During 2015, the value of wholesale sales in B.C. rose 3.7% as wholesalers marked the sixth straight year of solid growth. With the exception of Alberta (-5.7%) all provinces recorded boosts in 2015, such that wholesale sales climbed 4.0% nationally.
