  • Blueberry River First Nations are a signatory to Treaty No. 8, 1899 (Blueberry River’s ancestors officially signed on in 1900).
  • Following the BC Supreme Court decision (Yahey v. British Columbia, 2021 BCSC), the Province and Blueberry River First Nations signed an agreement to better protect Treaty 8 rights and support responsible natural resource development in Blueberry River’s Civil Claim Area.

  • Signatories to Treaty 8 and therefore are not participating in the modern B.C. treaty process.
