Advancement Via Individual Determination
B.C. Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) was a post-secondary readiness pilot project designed to increase learning, skills and school performance. The pilot project targeted students who were “academically in the middle” – those traditionally underrepresented in post-secondary education or who would be the first generation in their families to attended a post-secondary institution. The project is now completed and a final evaluation report will be released in 2013.
