In April 2013 Ministry of Health compiled a report on what the Ministry had completed to date on the Seniors Action Plan.
In October 2012, as part of a regular reporting requirement to the Office of the Ombudsperson, the Ministry of Health provided a report on what the Ministry had completed to date on the Seniors Action Plan.
The Seniors Action Plan was informed by the findings and recommendations of the Ombudsperson’s report on seniors care, “The Best of Care: Getting it Right for Seniors in British Columbia (Part 2)”. Meeting the commitments in the Seniors Action Plan is one of the Ministry’s highest priorities.
The improvements we’re making to services for seniors don’t stop with the commitments made in the Action Plan. Here are some additional recent initiatives that contribute to our goals of supporting seniors’ health from prevention to end-of-life.
