Inland Ferries Safety Information

Last updated on March 11, 2022

All of the inland ferry vessels are fully outfitted with safety equipment, from life jackets and life rafts to fire extinguishers and detectors. Inland ferries and crew are regulated by Transport Canada Marine Safety and Security.

In the unlikely event of an emergency, information will be available from crew or via the public address system.

On each of the vessels, there are firefighting and lifesaving equipment plans. Muster station signs show you where to gather in case of emergency. Life jackets for adults and children are stowed in clearly marked lockers. Please familiarize yourself with this information and the locations of life jackets and muster stations once you are aboard.
