Highway 1 - Salmon Arm West

This portion of the Highway 1 - Kamloops to Alberta program involves four-laning and other improvements along Highway 1 in west Salmon Arm, including intersection upgrades and construction of new frontage roads.

Status: Currently in design, with site preparation work occurring on one section

Project cost: The total project cost is estimated at $162.7 million. The project is cost-shared, with the Government of Canada contributing $48.5 million.

 Salmon Arm West - 30th St. SW to 10th St. SW

Two kilometres of highway will be widened from two to four lanes between 30th Street SW and 10th Street SW in Salmon Arm.

This portion of the Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta program involves widening a 1.5 km section of highway to four lanes from 1st Ave. SW to 30th St. SW in Salmon Arm.

Status: In design, with site preparation work occurring


Salmon Arm West - IR#3 to 1st Ave. SW

This project involves four-laning 2.8 km of Highway 1 from the western boundary of IR#3 to 1st Avenue SW in Salmon Arm. The project will also include upgrades to intersections.
