Highway 1 at Lillooet Road (Fern St) Interchange

We’re rebuilding the Lillooet Road (Fern Street) Interchange as part of the Highway 1 - Lower Lynn improvement project. The completion date for this phase of the project is March 2020.

The Lillooet Road (Fern Street) Interchange project includes:

  • Construction of a new overpass over Highway 1 connecting Keith Road and Mt. Seymour Parkway
  • Reconfiguration of ramps
  • Reconfiguration of Lillooet / Fern / Mt. Seymour intersection
  • Tie-in to the District of North Vancouver's Keith Road widening project
  • Improved cycling and pedestrian facilities
  • Better accommodation for transit vehicles and stops

Project Cost:

This $40 million project is funded with contributions from:

  • The Government of Canada
  • Province of British Columbia
  • District of North Vancouver

Project Status:

  • Functional design— in progress
  • Detailed design—starting, summer 2016
  • Construction starting—summer 2017
  • Scheduled completion—March 2020
