Tolling in B.C.
New or improved road and bridge infrastructure is costly. Where major infrastructure financing is taken on by private enterprises, tolling can be used to recover costs. In B.C., tolling occurs only where untolled alternative routes are also available.
Tolls are in effect for the Port Mann Bridge and Golden Ears Bridge in Greater Vancouver.
Port Mann Bridge
Tolling of the Port Mann Bridge is managed by TReO, part of Transportation Investment Corporation, a B.C. Crown corporation.
Visit the TReO website for additional information.
Golden Ears Bridge
Visit the TransLink website for additional information.
Note: Drivers using the Port Mann or Golden Ears Bridges can take advantage of additional cost savings by registering with TReO.
