Supplement for Veterans Under 65

The veterans supplement allows former officers or non-commissioned members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have a low income to supplement their home owner grant.

You must apply for the home owner grant for people under 65 and the veterans supplement separately.

The veterans supplement is the difference between the home owner grant for people under 65 and the higher amount home owner grants available for seniors, surviving spouses of veterans who received a War Veterans Allowance and people with disabilities. If you qualify for a higher grant amount, you don’t qualify for the veterans supplement.
