Filing the BC-36, Monthly Treating Plant Statement

The BC-36 is used to report the oil volumes processed through your oil treatment plant each month. It is also used to verify BC-S2 delivery volumes reported by the facility operator.

Due Date

You must file your BC-36 by the 25th day following the month you receive the oil deliveries.

If the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday, the due date is the next business day.

If you file your reports after the due date, you will be charged late filing penalties.

Amendments

If you need to amend your BC-36, you will have to resubmit the entire form within 72 months from the producing month. Please read the guidelines (PDF) for further information.

Keep working papers and supporting documentation until you obtain written permission for their disposal in the event that you are audited.
