Pay Mineral Tax Through Your Bank

If you have filed your return, you can pay your taxes through your bank or financial institution in the following ways:

  1. Bill payment service
  2. Electronic funds transfer
  3. Wire transfer (within Canada only)

To avoid late payment interest, ask your bank when they will consider your payment received. For example, if you bring a payment into your bank in the afternoon, the teller may date stamp the payment for the next business day.

Bill Payment Service

Bill payment services can generally be accessed through:

  • Your online bank account
  • An automated teller machine (ATM)
  • Telephone banking
  • A teller in person

Be aware that payments made using bill payment services can take up to 3 business days to process. To avoid late payment penalties and interest, make your payment more than 3 business days before the due date.

To pay your taxes using a bill payment service add a payee for Mineral Tax to your bank account. To add a new payee, you need our payee name and your account number.
