The Province promotes innovation in the forest sector. Today wood fibre is converted into electricity, fuels, plastics, solvents and lubricants

Forest biomass is being explored as an alternative to fossil fuels. British Columbia is a leader in the development of innovative wood products and construction techniques.

Work is being done to take advantage of new and existing markets by establishing a more diverse bioeconomy in B.C.
