Tree Farm Licences

Current Allowable Annual Cut for Tree Farm Licences

Effective date of allowable annual cut (AAC) for tree farm licences (TFLs) is the date on which the AAC decision comes into effect — usually specified by the AAC rationale — and is not always the same as the determined date.

In 2002, the Forest Act was amended to enable trials to establish allowable annual cuts (AACs) on the basis of harvested area (hectares per year) rather than harvested volume (cubic metres per year). This TFL was one of two established under the trial program which has since been discontinued.
