With reference to your letter of July 7, 1989 regarding hold-open devices on doors in fire separations.

On the information provided we are prepared to agree with the opinion expressed in the final paragraph of your letter. Nothing has been submitted by the authority having jurisdiction which would lead us to question the conclusions you have reached as specialist fire protection engineers.
