With reference to your letter of April 17, 1989 regarding ventilation fan capacity.

Your assumption that a house exceeding 400 square metres in total floor area only needs a fan of 40 L/s capacity, is incorrect. Table 9.33.3.B. provides the minimum portion of the ventilation rate required to be controlled automatically; the total ventilation rate is provided in Table 9.33.3.A.
