Marine Stewardship Council Certification
In July of 2008, the provincial government committed to help B.C.’s commercial fisheries obtain certification from the Marine Stewardship Council.
Recreational Shellfish Reserves are sections of Crown land where the province of British Columbia has either excluded or limited commercial ventures, such as aquaculture, that would impact recreational harvesting opportunities.
