Teleconference Call Project

PARP Online Evidence Submissions System and Teleconference call Project for 2018

In some communities, Property Assessment Review Panel hearings conducted in 2018, will occur by teleconference (telephone)  supplemented by the PARP Online Evidence Submission System.

Eight Panels will conduct hearings by teleconference using evidence submitted in advance by the parties (BC Assessment and the Complainant). This project focuses on the use of technology in property assessment hearings especially in areas of the Province where travel can be dangerous or difficult in the winter months.

The eight Panels will be located in:
  • Victoria
  • Prince George
  • Williams Lake
  • Cranbrook
  • Kelowna (two Panels)
  • South Surrey
  • Courtenay
They will hear complaints for properties located in:
  • Area 01 - Capital
  • Area 06 - Rural jurisdictions only (Jurisdictions 330, 347, 747, 334, 502, 563, 558, 785)
  • Area 21 - Nelson/Trail (Jurisdictions 229, 232, 521, 548, 588, 711)

  • Area 24 - Cariboo
  • Area 25 - Northwest

Both, the property owner (or other complainant) and BC Assessment will participate by teleconference, calling in to the Panel.  If this type of hearing would suit your residential complaint needs, please contact your local BC Assessment Area Office to make the necessary arrangements.
