Become a Qualified Supplier

Lawyers, notaries, home manufacturers, home dealers and other service providers may apply to become an approved Qualified Supplier with the BC Registries and Online Services. 

Applications may be submitted at any time and the Registry will review applications periodically to meet the demand for Qualified Suppliers.

Lawyers and Notaries

Legal practitioners in B.C. who enroll as qualified suppliers can access

  • Combined registered owner/lien searches
  • Transport permits
  • Transfer transactions
  • Residential exemptions

Lawyers and notaries may apply to enroll if they meet the following requirements

  • Have a BC OnLine account
  • Have the ability to store documents for seven years and provide copies on request with a turnaround time of seven days (see document storage requirements)

How to Apply

  1. Download the agreement, review, complete online, and print a copy
  2. Sign the agreement - ensure it is endorsed by the signing authority for the BC OnLine account
  3. Fax the signature page only to BC OnLine administration at 250 952-6115
  4. Mail the agreement with signature page to us (see Useful Contacts box for address)

You will have BC OnLine access within 24 hours of BC OnLine receiving your faxed submission.


Other Professionals and General Public

Anyone can arrange to provide selected services to a third party. Approved service providers are able to access

  • Combined registered owner/lien searches
  • Transport permits
  • Transfer transactions
  • Residential exemptions

Apply to enroll if you meet the following requirements

  • Registered to conduct business in British Columbia
  • Have a BC OnLine account
  • Possess an overall understanding of the Manufactured Home Act, regulations and procedures related to the filing of documents online
  • Possesses comprehensive general liability coverage of $1,000,000
  • Have the ability to store documents for seven years (see document storage requirement)

How to Apply

  1. Download, complete and print a copy of the following
  2. Sign and date the application and mail to us (see Useful Contacts box for the address). Successful applicants will be notified by email within two weeks of receipt of the application.
  3. Once you've been approved, download, review, complete and print a copy of the following
  4. Date the agreement and ensure it is signed by the signing authority for the BC OnLine account
  5. Mail the agreement  to us

You will have BC OnLine access within 48 hours of receipt of the agreement.


Home Manufacturers

Manufacturers who become Qualified Suppliers can access the following transactions

  • Combined registered owner/lien searches
  • Transport permits
  • Registrations
  • Transfer transactions

Manufacturers may only register transfers for homes where they are the current owner.     

Apply to enroll if you meet the following requirements

  • Have a BC OnLine account
  • Carry comprehensive general liability coverage of $1,000,000
  • Have the ability to store documents for seven years (see document storage requirement)
