Web Accessibility

The B.C. government is committed to ensuring its citizens have access and equity when interacting with its web services. The Web Accessibility Developer's Guide provides guidance to creating WCAG 2.0 compliant websites.

Our aim is to meet, as best as practical, the needs of all users. Due to the many assistive technologies on the market, and the way they interact with certain browsers, it is important to do our best at achieving an accessible website. Where we find challenges it is important we offer alternative processes to ensure equitable access.

This document is a guide to providing the most straightforward way to make your website accessible; however, it is up to the website owner to ensure they conduct tests with assistive technologies and mobile devices to ensure the site is usable.
