Unsolicited Records (schedule 112913)

These records are received by government agencies covered by the Document Disposal Act (RSBC 1996, c. 99). This schedule is intended to ensure the efficient destruction of useless, unwanted material received from various sources.

The term "unsolicited records" refers to material in various media which has been forwarded to government agencies from private sector sources. Such material typically includes computer addressed form letters, pamphlets, catalogues, newspapers, product bulletins, magazines, course and seminar announcements, and other material often referred to as "junk mail".
