Records relating to special items either custom-made for a ministry or agency or designed or built by the ministry or agency itself.

Record types include correspondence, specifications, drawings, plans, and work orders.

(covers guarantees and warranties, loans, technical and operating manuals, commercially developed special item history files, and government developed special item history files)
SO = upon replacement or disposal of special item
3y = The retention period is based on the two-year limitation period for commencing an action arising from property damage or personal injury under the Limitation Act (RSBC 1996, c. 266, s. 3), plus one year for the service of documents.
SR = Special item history files will be selectively retained by the government archives by retaining files that document significant technological innovations or advances.
