This supply arrangement is available to:

  • B.C. Government ministries
  • B.C. broader public sector

What can I buy?

  • Base service includes:
    • supply, refresh, maintenance and disposal of workstation hardware
    • choice of workstation configurations (Windows and Mac)
    • standard software (operating system; Microsoft Office products)
    •  installation
    • service desk support 24/7
    • baseline amount of VIP Plus support
    • security and malware protection
    • service moves, adds and changes for nine or less workstations
  • Service options include:
    • additional hardware and software
    • full time and part-time evening Desktop Terminal Services
    • additional VIP Plus users
    • home support
    • roaming user profiles
    • project services for complex projects where coordination is required or for large order volumes

What do I need to know?

  • Service Prerequisites:
    • clients must either have other OCIO services in place or subscribe to these services as a separate cost (e.g. client access, IDIR directory and authentication, shared file and print, and messaging)
    • infrastructure cabling
    • warranty agreements for all non-core hardware requiring support
    • software licenses for all non-core installed software products
    • software support agreements for upgrades and third-party support as appropriate for the client’s business needs
    • ministry service desk(s) with agents trained to support their own hardware and software products
