We have listed frequently asked questions (FAQs) about our protocol and recognition products, however, since this is a custom solution business, feel free to contact us should you require any other information.

Who can order Protocol and Recognition products?
Government employees, the broader public sector, and government entities.

Are any of your products available to the general public?
Only flags and pins are available. Order BC-themed flags or pins here.

What services does Protocol and Recognition provide?
Custom branded promotional products, custom corporate awards, plaques, trophies, framing, engraving and retirement gifts. 

What are branded promotional products - and why would I order them?
Products with your logo are “branded” and will increase awareness of your message - including lanyards, mugs, water bottles, pens, apparel, padfolios, keychains, and so on. Consult with us!

How do I submit my logo?
We require your artwork prepared in an EPS “vectored” format.  For Ministry clients, this is available to you at the BC Government Site under Horizontal or Vertical Ministry Files.  If your artwork is not in an EPS format, however, either our vendors can perform this service for you, or, for Public Service clients, you can contact Government Communications and Public Engagement for their input and assistance. 

What other custom products can you provide?
Custom awards and trophies, custom framing for your documents and certificates, and custom engraving services.

We have a selection of products listed on line for conferences and special events, visits by dignitaries, employee and volunteer recognition, and for retirement gifts.

How long for delivery of online products?
Delivery is usually two to five business days for online products.

Is there a shipping and handling charge?
If your order is over $25.00 shipping is free.
Orders less than $25.00 before taxes will have a $5.00 shipping fee added.

What if I need my order immediately?
We will try our best to accommodate your request, although some rush charges may be applied.

How do I return a product from the shopping cart?
We understand items are returned for a variety of reasons. 

Whether an item is not what you expected, mistakenly ordered, the wrong size, sent to you in error, or defective, please contact Customer Service at: 250-952-4460, or by email at Protocolrecognition@gov.bc.ca  and we will be pleased to assist you.

The following items are accepted for full credit or exchange when they are returned within 90 days with a copy of the packing slip:

  • In their original packaging, and therefore, re-sellable.
  • When you have ordered it in error and items are re-sellable.
  • When we have sent it to you in error.
  • Defective and/or faulty items.

There are rare occurrences when we cannot accept a return:

  • When the item was purchased so long ago that it affects their performance, such as pens drying out.
  • When the product is past an expiration date and thus not re-sellable.
  • When the item has been described as a “final sale”.

Please note: If your work place is not part of the in house BC Mail system, please understand we cannot accept collect packages unless you have been given prior authorization from Customer Service.
