You need to set up a card reader to log in with your BC Services Card. 

Set up a Computer to use a USB Card Reader

To use a government-issued USB card reader, you need to setup each computer you are planning to use.

  1. Download and install the BC Services Card Reader software

  1. During log in, ensure you allow the software to run, if prompted

The following operating systems are supported:

  • Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10
  • Mac OSX 10.9, 10.10, 10.11

Set up your Mobile Android Device as a Card Reader

To use your mobile Android device as a card reader, you need to set it up: 

  1. Install the BC Services Card App

  1. During login, you’ll be prompted to pair your device
    • Pairing establishes a link between your mobile device and browser
    • You’re provided with a pairing code in your browser that you will enter in the BC Services Card App on your mobile device
  2. Once the mobile device is paired, you can choose to remember it – this stores a cookie in your browser and makes the log in process faster next time
    • All device pairings can be removed at any time using the Forget All Pairings feature in the mobile app
    • If you’re using your mobile device’s browser to access an online service and to read the card, then the pairing is automatic and you will not be prompted to do this step

To log in you must use an up-to-date version of one of these browsers:
