One of the company’s key export offering is their Seabuckthorn Tea, made from the leaves of the seabuckthorn plant, which has a fragrant green tea aroma and flavour. This anti-inflammatory herbal tea contains 24% protein, as well as many minerals, vitamins, flavonoids and polyphenols. The Seabuckthorn Tea offers consumers very high values of calcium, potassium, magnesium, beta carotene and Vitamin E, and is caffeine-free.

SII is a Health Canada Site licensed facility and their nutritional supplements have the Health Canada Product License. Established in 2003 in Peachland, President and CEO Susan McLoughlin has been working with the seabuckthorn plant since 1991. In partnership with her late husband Colin, Susan pioneered the seabuckthorn industry in Canada by founding the first company in North American to actively engage in the growing and manufacturing of products derived from the seabuckthorn plant. The company’s mission is to contribute to human health and wellness with pure, natural, sustainable and non-GMO products.

SII is committed to sustainability, using minimal packaging materials that are reusable or recyclable, emphasizing use of natural and organic ingredients, as well as protecting over one million hectares of fragile land worldwide. The company gives back to the community by contributing to the First United Church Homeless Shelter in Vancouver.
