The company produces a variety of wines from top-quality, hand-picked, certified organic grapes, including: their popular icewines, such as their port-style 2011 Zweigelt Icewine with velvety texture and balanced acidity, and their 2013 Chardonnay Icewine, which was named the Best Chardonnay in the world at the 2016 Chardonnay du Monde Competition in France; a range of light-to-crisp white wines, including a bright 2014 Pinot Gris, an aromatic 2013 Gewürztraminer, and their 2014 Harmony White blend; as well as bold red wines, including a 2013 Pinot Noir with spice notes, a deep-bodied 2012 Zweigelt, and their 2013 Harmony Red blend. All wines are BC Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA) certified, ensuring their high quality and safe production.

Kalala was established in West Kelowna in 2006. The company’s name means “miracle place,” representing the winery’s commitment to harmony with nature and organic viticulture practices. Kalala is a family-owned and operated business founded by Karnail Singh Sidhu, who is driven by his passion for farming and producing high-quality products at an affordable price. Certified organic in 2010, Kalala’s philosophy is to allow the varietal characteristics and West Kelowna terroir to be truly expressed and enhanced by minimal handling during winemaking.

Kalala works with 100% organic vineyards and is also SalmonSafe Certified, an organization that works to reduce the impacts of agriculture on the ecosystems where B.C. salmon spawn. The company also supports organizations such as the JDRF Foundation and is collecting donations at their winery to build a school in the village in India they honoured with their company name.
