Step 6: Register Your Business

If your business is a sole proprietorship or general partnership, you can register it quickly and easily with the Province of British Columbia online at BC Registries and Online Services.

You will need a credit card to complete and pay for this transaction online.

If you prefer, you can register your sole proprietorship or general partnership at one of the Service BC Centre locations, which accept payment using cash, debit card or cheque.

If you decide you want to incorporate, you must ﬁle an Incorporation Application with BC Registry Services. See the registry’s website for detailed information on the application process.

Apply online using Corporate Online (pick “File an Incorporation Application” on the home page).
