International Education Scholarships and Awards
Applications are now open for two Ministry of Education international education awards.
The awards, along with two other awards / scholarships available later this year, promote intercultural knowledge in support of BC’s new education curriculum. The awards also contribute to accomplishing the goals of the B.C.’s International Education Strategy (PDF), increasing the two-way flow of students, teachers and ideas between British Columbia and the world.
The four awards / scholarships, first introduced in 2015/16, include funding for:
- groups of British Columbia students and for individual teachers to study abroad
- international, high-school level and international post-secondary level students to study in British Columbia, and
- British Columbia students to study Chinese.
The British Columbia Council for International Education (BCCIE) is a partner in the administration of all four awards. BCCIE will receive and evaluate award applications and distribute awards to successful applicants.
These awards / scholarships are administered using six regions.
