Attendance Support and Staff Wellness

The goal of the attendance support and staff wellness initiative is to create a culture in the K-12 sector where:

  • Attendance support is part of the regular operations of schools and districts
  • Employees feel supported 
  • Employee representatives are involved and feel their members are appropriately and fairly supported 
  • It is recognized throughout the system that the work with and for students is improved by employee wellness

Over the 2015/16 school year, Phase 2 working group members focused on implementing the recommendations outlined in the below Phase 1 report.‚Äč

In June 2016, the Phase 2 working group released an evaluation report and supporting resources. Refer to the British Columbia Public School Employers’ Association (BCPSEA) for further details.
