Offshore Schools

The B.C. Global Education Program makes it possible for schools in other countries (offshore schools) to offer B.C. curriculum to international students.

In order to qualify as an offshore school, specific standards must be met. For example, they must employ B.C.-certified teachers and maintain adequate facilities.

Become an Offshore School

Becoming a B.C.-Certified Offshore School under the B.C. Global Education Program requires a significant investment of dedication, time and resources.

Shugaku Ryoko - Study in BC

Shugaku Ryoko means “graduation trip” in Japanese.  Many Japanese high school students take a trip to explore British Columbian high schools. Both B.C.’s public school districts and independent schools have long history of welcoming and supporting international students for short-term study, specialized summer camps and long-term studies.
