Census Statistical Profiles of Aboriginal Peoples

These profiles are based on census data and provide comparisons of the socio-economic conditions of Aboriginal peoples. They provide a range of data with particular focus on children, education and labour market issues.

2011 Profile

Note: the National Household Survey replaced the Census long-form questionnaire in 2011

2006 Profiles

These profiles provide comparisons of the socio-economic conditions of the Aboriginal peoples including groups such as First Nations, Metis, and Status Indians using data available from the 2006 Census. The profiles provide a range of data with particular focus on children, education and labour market issues.

2001 Profiles

These profiles, based on 2001 census data, provide comparisons of the socio-economic conditions of the on-reserve and off-reserve Aboriginal populations as well as the non-Aboriginal population by College Region, Health Authority and Health Service Delivery Area.

These profiles, based on 1996 census data, provide comparisons of the socio-economic conditions of the on-reserve and off-reserve Aboriginal populations as well as the non-Aboriginal population by College Region.
