Issue 17-85: Industrial Product Price Index

There was a 3.3% year-over-year increase in the Industrial Product Price Index in June, driven mainly by a 9.9% jump in the prices for primary non-ferrous metal products and a 5.8% rise in the cost of chemical products. Excluding energy and petroleum products, the IPPI climbed 3.7% between June 2016 and June 2017.

The cost of raw materials rose 2.2% in June, compared to the same month in 2016. Inflation was highest for metal ores, concentrates and scrap (+12.7%) and animals and animal products (+5.2%).
