Sales by retailers in the province slipped 0.7% (seasonally adjusted) in November, as a seven-month-long upturn came to an end.
Canadian sales inched up 0.2%, marking the fourth consecutive month of increases. B.C., Alberta (-0.5%) and Newfoundland and Labrador (-0.4%) were the only provinces where sales were weak. Elsewhere, retailers posted gains ranging from 0.3% in Quebec to 2.1% in P.E.I.
