Issue 16-23: Housing Starts

Housing starts in B.C.’s urban areas (with population of at least 10,000) slipped (-5.7%, seasonally adjusted) in January, following a 26.4% surge recorded in December. Starts were lower in most Western provinces, while parts of the Central and Eastern regions fared better. Canadian starts were down 3.0% in January.
