Issue 16-218: Wholesale Sales

November 21, 2016

Wholesalers in British Columbia saw revenues slip 0.9% (seasonally adjusted) in September, partly due to weaker sales in the motor vehicle and parts subsector. Canadian wholesale sales decreased 1.2%, with declines recorded in five of the seven subsectors. Sales were down in all provinces, with Ontario (-0.7%), Quebec (-1.8%) and Alberta (-3.0%) accounting for 82% of the national decrease.
