September 30, 2016

Total receipts in British Columbia’s food service and drinking places industry were 2.6% higher (seasonally adjusted) in July, an eighth consecutive monthly increase.

Nationally, industry revenues rose 1.8%, mainly due to increased business at full-service restaurants (+3.2%). Seven provinces posted gains, led by a 3.1% increase in P.E.I. Of the few that lost ground during the month, Saskatchewan (-3.5%) registered the sharpest decline.
