Issue 16-150: Food Services and Drinking Places

Receipts at food services and drinking places in B.C. were up 0.2% (seasonally adjusted) in May.

Canadian establishments saw receipts slow (-0.1%) as revenues were down in five provinces, including Quebec (-0.8%) and Ontario (-0.7%). Canadian drinking places took in less revenue (-0.8%), as did limited-service eating establishments (-0.4%). Sales at full-service restaurants were flat (-0.0%), but special food services saw receipts climb a solid 1.2%.
