Request for Completion of Criminal Record Check

This service is only for use by hiring managers after the completion of a criminal record check consent form.

Hiring managers must use this service to initiate a criminal record check (link update December 9, 2022) by the Personnel Security Screening Office (PSSO) of the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.

The PSSO provides centralized and standardized criminal record checks and security screening for the public service. Criminal record check services for public service positions are completed in accordance with Security Screening (HR Policy 14) (PDF, 210KB).

PSSO monitors use of this service and any inappropriate use will be investigated and subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
