Choose your charity

Select a charity

Provincial Employees Community Services Fund (PECSF) organizes charities in 2 ways available in 29 different regions across B.C.

Employees making a donation have the option of selecting the regional pool (fund supported pool) or their own list of charities, but not a combination of both.

Fund supported charity (approved charities): pick from your regional list

This refers to a community-based, charitable organization, chapter or program that has applied for and been approved to receive a portion of funding by your local PECSF regional committee.

These organizations are required to report out annually on the status of their approved program in order to continue to receive funding during each 3-year funding cycle.

Donor choice: choose your own

Please visit the CRA website to find registered charity numbers in your city or province, or contact PECSF for assistance.

  • PECSF ensures each charity is in good standing with the CRA prior to sending funds
    • If your charity is no longer in good standing or has closed, you'll be contacted and your current donation held until you allocate the funds to another organization

Charities by region

Charity options are either fund supported or donor choice.

You can support either the pool of fund supported programs or individual fund supported programs/donor choice charities, but not both options:

  • Fund supported (FS) charities have been specifically selected based on a strict criteria by members of each PECSF Regional Committee to receive a portion of each regions pooled funds
    • To learn more, please review PECSF charities
  • Donor choice (DC) charities refer to any CRA registered charity that an employee would like to support
    • PECSF donors can choose up to 10 charities from their regional list
    • New DC charities can be added to the list

All charities must be registered with the CRA.

To find your PECSF Region either scroll down or enter your city name in the search field.
